Tea Thursday

Today I decided to repost this picture because I think we all might need some comfort today. We never know what the other might be going through so always be kind to one another. Here is today's Tea Thursday quote: “I don't want tea," said Clary, with muffled force. "I want to find my mother. And then I want to find out who took her in the first place, and I want to kill them."
"Unfortunately," said Hodge, "we're all out of bitter revenge at the moment, so it's either tea or nothing.”

Hello October!!!

Hello my darlings! I can't believe it's the 1st day of October already! This year has flown by so fast I think I might have whiplash, haha! These next few months are going to be so much fun! Throughout the last month while I've been out and about in town, I've been picking up and buying a whole bunch of Autumn themed stuff. The pictures below are just a preview of the stuff I'll be doing for my blog these next few months. I hope you like it!

OoOoOo! Cheeky preview I see ;)

What the season without some decorations!?

Can never go wrong with themed scented
candles!!!

Time to wipe out those classics!

So excited for this project! Shhh...
It's a secret ;)

I'm Back!!!

Hello my darlings! Oh my gosh! It's been a while hasn't it?! I'm sooo sorry for the lack of posts! It has gotten pretty hectic, but also I'm not gonna lie, I forget to blog sometimes or I have no clue what to blog about so I usually don't post anything... BUT now that a certain favorite season of mine is just around the corner (I can already feel its strong vibes!) I have so many fun and amazing arts and crafts ideas for it. Autumn is my all time favorite season of the year and I have't been more excited! I'll be doing a lot of DIY, "Tea Thursday", and of course just random post based around the season Autumn! :) I've been planning this for quite a while and can't believe the time is here so I hope you enjoy!

Tea Thursday

Hi Guys! I know I haven't been posting any blogs this week. I've been very busy this entire week just as I will be on the oncomings 2 weeks but I havn't forgotten my "Tea Thursday" ritual where I post random qoutes that involve tea just to give you some food for thought. For the next few weeks I won't be posting daily but I WILL be posting when I can, maybe even twice a day, so don't worry! I'll try my best! :) So here are this weeks food for thought quote:
“Who would then deny that when I am sipping tea in my tearoom I am swallowing the whole universe with it and that this very moment of my lifting the bowl to my lips is eternity itself transcending time and space?”

El Huarique

During the weekend my sisters and I had decided to spend some time together. We ended up going to Venice beach boardwalk looking for something to eat for lunch. My sister found this hole in the wall where they have mutiple little restaurants of all kinds. Considering that I am half Peruvian we wanted to try out this Peruvian cuisine "El Huarique" and let me just say...DELICIOUS! I like to try out different types of Peruvian restaurants to compare the differences, good and bad. This restaurant did not disappoint!

Both of my sisters had ordered a Peruvian dish called "lomo saltado" and I had ordered "ceviche de pescado". Each of the cuisine dishes were well prepared and the seasoning is on point! I would definitely recommend this place if you are ever at Venice Beach, just look for the hole in the wall. ;)

Tea Thursday

“If you are cold, tea will warm you;
if you are too heated, it will cool you;
If you are depressed, it will cheer you;
If you are excited, it will calm you.”
― William Ewart Gladstone

Hello Darlings! Today is yet another Tea Thursday where I post random quotes about tea just as some food for your thoughts, to get your mind flowing. I hope everyone has a lovely evening! :)

Home Cooked Tostadas

Today me and my mom decided to make some delicious homemade tostadas! To be honest I was so excited Lol! It has been a while since we last made these, but I decided to blog it and share this easy homemade meal with you! :)

Ingredients: ground beef, bell peppers, onions, Guerrero's corn tortillas, avocado, lemon, cilantro, sliced lettuce, sour cream, canola oil, pinto beans, and mayonnaise.
After frying the ground beef, you mix it in with slice bell peppers and onions to give it some more flavor, and put the pinto beans to cook. While that is going on you also fry the corn tortillas in the canola oil. Then you get the topping ready! I slice the lettuce and my mom makes this delicious avocado mix. The avocado mix has sliced avocado, cilantro, onion, and squeezed lemon juice. Once that is all ready you take the hard tortilla and spread mayonnaise, then spread the pinto beans, on top of that you put on the ground beef with the lettuce and avocado mix. Voila! :D

Girls Night!

It's only Monday and most people wouldn't even think
 of hosting a sleepover but
hey it's summer!
It is a great time to have all you friends come over,
whether on the weekend or during the weekdays.
Take this time and opportunity to create fun adventures and
new memories that will hopefully last a lifetime! :)
Here are some sleepover essential must haves.
As a disclaimer,
 these are just examples
and can be altered for your preference and desires.

Never forget to go out and buy some of your
favorite snacks and drinks. Whether it be sweet or salty,
you can never go wrong having snacks at a sleepover!

Having facials or makeovers might be my favorite part of
a sleepover. It doesn't even have to be perfect! It can be for silly
challenges or for instagram selfies!
You can set up a bed or make a fortress! Anywhere so you can
have a place to crash if you get tired. It's also a nice to place
to have your girly conversations or pillow fights. :)

Romance, horror, action and etc. The next part is picking a
movie that you will enjoy.
If you can't find a movie that you like from your DVD
collection, you can never go wrong with Netflix!
It has a whole bunch of movie selections you can pick from.

Here is my younger sister picking our first movie that we'll be
watching tonight on Netflix. :)
Once you have selected a movie, you pop the popcorn and get
out all your snacks. Sit back, relax, and enjoy! :D

LUSH HAUL (REVIEW)

LUSH is a company that is well known for their "Fresh Handmade Cosmetics" and providing a variety of carefully designed cosmetics including: bath bombs, shower scrubs, fresh, face masks, shampoo, conditioner, liquid lipstick, etc. Their products are non-animal tested and require no preservatives. They have created their packaging with recyclable and biodegradable products to "limit our impact on the environment". These past few days I have been trying out some of their products to see if they would live up to the praise have been given through multiple sources, and I can say that I can totally agree with them that LUSH is in fact one of the best cosmetic companies I have invested in.
Angels On Bare Skin is a face & body cleanser made out of
ingredients like lavender, rose absolute, chamomile, etc.
This product makes the skin smooth and healthy leaving an
even out skin tone.

Ro's Argan Body Conditioner is one of my favorite products
made out of argan oil, , cocoa butter, shea butter, etc. It is a skin
conditioner used after taking a shower, This products leaves the
skin nourished and silky.
D'Fluff Strawberry Shaving Soap is made out of coconut oil,
cocoa butter, roseship oil, etc. leaves the skin with a sweet
smell and silky skin.

Here we have Imperialis which is another favorite product of
mine. It is a facial moisturizer that helps skin stay in balance.
This product contains tiger lily, cocoa butter, orange flower, etc.
The second product is Mint Julips which is lip scrub made out of
cold pressed organic castor sugar, vanilla extract, and
peppermint oil that leaves your lips smooth and kissable. ;)
This is Buffy, a body butter and a " feel-good exfoliation"
made out of shea butter, lemon peel oil, sweet almond and rice
buffs away dry dead skin for a more softer appeal

These three products are bath bombs that each come with different types of  scents, colors, and surprises. The first one on the far left is called Tisty Tosty. It comes with rose absolute, citric acid, and lemon peel oil. It is also known as the love potion. ;) The second bath bomb on the far right is called Twilight. It is made out of lavender, tonka absolute, etc. gives a vison of the night sky in your bath tube. Last but not least is the Sex Bomb made out of jasmine absolute, soybean oil, and soy milk; is known to set the mood. ;) I haven't tried that one only because I had gotten if for one of my sister as a gift. haha

Monday Zzzz...

Monday... when it's the weekend and you hear someone mention Monday. You get a sinking feeling at the pit of your stomach. Monday is that day of the week where everyong gets up super early to go to work and get things finished. It is the sign that the week is begining all over again. Everyone has to wake up at the crack of dawn for at least the next 5 days and bury themselves in responsibilties. Some people have it easy and some people dont, but the point is that the majority of the people DREAD Mondays. There are mutiple ways of getting over that and looking at the more positive side. Today I didn't feel like doing anything at all, but just like all of you I have responsibilties to take care of throughout the week. Here are 7 tips on helping get over the Monday Blues that I've learned or read is
1.) Try to avoid work on the weekends. The weekend is a time to relax and enjoy yourself. Finish everything you're supposed to do before the weekend so you don't have to stress during the weekend about getting things done before Monday.
2.) Accept the Monday blues because if you don't it ony make the situation worse. It will only exhaust you further and we don't need that.
3.) Start your Monday on the right side! Wake up ealier than usual so you don't have to be in a hurry, take a nice cold shower to help wake you up, have a cup of your choise of beverage (tea, coffee, milk, juice, or lemon in water).
4.)  Dress up! Baggy clothes like sweats and hoodies does not with your confidence to get through the day. Instead dress light and energetic so you can give  a better vibe from yourself
5.) Be social! Engaging into a conversation in the morning helps the brain into waking up for the day. It needs a warm-up before it starts wokring.
6.) Be Positive! Get in the mode! Pump yourself up like listening to your favorite song or working out before work.
7.) Make someone's day. Doing something nice for someone can definitely lift up not only the person your helping spirits, but yours as well!

I hope that these tips and advice will help cure those with the Monday Blues and give them something to look foward to instead of wanting to avoid. :)
